In the month of June, we visited a small village of east Lombok to participate in a marine conservation program. The village off Sambelia district has started conservation of mangrove forest and coral propagation many years ago. Over time the project snailed in progress due to lack of funding. IUVA Global will partner with the community to kickstart the project again. This visit was also joined by leaders of Singapore University of Social Science and they are keen to participate in the efforts this coming September. We helped with planting of mangrove saplings and the making of 2 sets of coral platform which were then placed offshore the island of Petagan.
You can also join in this effort to conserve and rejuvenate our ocean and its habitants. Feel free to drop us an email at tahar@iuvasg.com to know more and how you can help in the project. We welcome visionary schools to join us.
